Pronuclear Injections

For this service, the desired constructs will be injected into the pronucleus of murine fertile zygotes and the embryos retransferred into pseudopregnant foster mice under SOPF conditions. Different methods are used, depending on the research application.

Random transgenesis allows the generation of transgenic mice without the use of embryonic stem cells. The injected DNA construct will integrate randomly into the mouse genome.

The technology of CRISPR/Cas is a new and fast method for generating mice with a mutation or insertion of a gene at a defined position within the genome. For CRISPR/Cas the desired Cas9 mRNA or protein, sgRNAs and if required DNA template will be injected into the pronucleus of murine zygotes.

The method of BAC transgenesis allows the generation of transgenic mice by targeted mutagenesis based on a bacterial vector.
